The objective of the star* Scheme is, through the sport of rugby, to make a material difference in the lives of young people, who experience or have experinced adversity in childhood, including mental health conditions, disabilities or are growing up in challenging households.
The scheme launched for the 2023/2024 season and is open to young people who fulfil on the criteria set out above. It will provide 100% funding for training and match kit; transport to and from training and matches; and support from a newly-employed qualified Community Liaison Officer.
The club is seeking donations to ensure a rolling three years of funding for this unique and innovative scheme

star* scheme has a proven track record of making a difference to the lives of young people from South Bristol - now we are going to expand the scheme across the country, so that every village, town and country that has a rugby club, has the star* scheme.
Our scheme works through strong partnership with the incredible network of Grassroots Rugby. To make the scheme work at a local club, it takes the commitment of volunteers and to become a volunteer for the star* scheme, all you need is enthusiasm and a desire to help.
Whoever you are and however you choose to volunteer, you’ll be part of a supportive community coming together to transform the lives of young people.
